Every Story Begins Somewhere
Every story begins somewhere. Sometimes it’s in a book, and sometimes it’s in our own lives.
For me, this marks the beginning of something new, my first official blog here on my website. I’m excited to share not only my books, but also the ideas, inspirations, and experiences that have shaped my writing journey.
Just as Tinsley Nathaniel in my book Johnny’s World: The Series in One had to relocate with his parents, we all experience moments of change. Life is full of starts and stops, challenges, and fresh beginnings. Fortunately, Tinsley had a friend who offered support, guidance, and encouragement when it was needed most.
A Creative Friend
As readers of this blog, and to those who have already welcomed my books into your homes, you are becoming what I like to call a Creative Friend.
Friendship begins with trust, and trust grows over time. My hope is that this website becomes a place where we can share that journey together. I invite you to explore my published works, return for future blog posts, and discover the stories and ideas that continue to inspire me.
Featured Book: A Storybook Collection
Speaking of stories, I’d like to introduce you to one of my books, A Storybook Collection.
Have you ever looked at a painting and wondered about the story hidden within it?
My wife and I have several paintings in our home, including one titled Sunday Morning by the American artist Asher Durand. Painted in oil on canvas around 1839 and later given to his wife, Mary F. Durand, in 1840, the artwork immediately captured my imagination.
While researching the painting, I discovered that Durand created several versions of the same scene, much like a photographer capturing different perspectives of a single moment. That discovery became the inspiration for one of the stories in my collection.
Rather than reveal too much, I’ll simply tell you that the story is called “Some Sunday Morning.”
Continue the Journey
If this glimpse has sparked your curiosity, I invite you to pick up a copy of A Storybook Collection. Put on your creative glasses and discover the story waiting inside.
I’d also love for you to visit again. Future blog posts will explore the inspiration behind my books, the creative process, and the stories that continue to shape my writing. I hope you’ll join me on that journey.
Until next time,
Think with the Mind and Write from the Heart.
